Founded in 1998, China Metallurgical Engineering Co., Ltd.(CME) is jointly funded by Shanghai Baosteel Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd.(SHBSEC) and MECC Hydraulic. And it is currently controlled by SHBSEC. CME mainly engages in engineering contracting and project management, metallurgical equipment supervision, scientific technology development and consulting services. Relying on the project team composed of high-quality professionals and technicians, CME is committed to low-cost, high-efficiency and quality services. CME adheres to the quality policy of “advanced technology, scientific methodology, high-quality products and satisfactory services”, so as to assure the customers’ projects comprehensive quality and progress control.
CME has been thoroughly developing in the field of supervising national scientific research projects for more than ten years, mainly participating in the supervision of major national scientific research projects such as China’s deep-sea manned submersibles “Jiaolong”, “Deep Sea Warrior”, “Fendouzhe”, etc. CME has cooperated with relevant management agencies of the Ministry of Science and Technology, top research institutes in the field of ocean affairs and famous universities, including the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21; COMRA; Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering, CAS; Institute of Acoustics, CAS; Shenyang Institute of Automation, CAS; Institute of Oceanology, CAS; Institutes 702, 712, and 725 of CSIC; Zhejiang University; Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Tianjin University and so on. Stable service centers have been set up in areas where customers and manufacturing plants are relatively concentrated, such as Northeast China, North China, East China and Northwest China, in order to achieve internal resources sharing and maximize work efficiency.
In recent years, CME has undertaken project management or supervision tasks on the construction projects of raw materials, coking, sintering, pelletising, iron smelting, steel making, rolling steel and environmental protection in manufacturers of Chongqing Iron&Steel, Zhujiang Iron&Steel, Han-Steel, Ly Steel, BaoGang Group, Xingcheng Special Steel, Ma Steel, Liuzhou Steel, Nanjing Iron and Steel, HBIS Group, KISC, Tianjin Steel Group, Wuhan Iron&Steel and so on. The construction management service has been gradually extended from domestic cities to foreign countries of India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Pakistan, Bolivia, Russia and Turkey, etc. CME has been admitted as the member of Beijing Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprise Association and the permanent member of China Association of Plant Engineering Consultants. CME has been qualified for GB/T19001-2016-ISO9001:2015 quality management system certification and obtained the certificate.
