Mutun 200,000tpa Steel Complex in Bolivia is the project of Bolivian Government PND Program and Bolivia’s very first integrated steel complex.The project aims to produce high-quality construction steel to replace imported steel by utilizing the abundant local iron ore and natural gas resources. In addition to the current phase of the project, there are plans for the second and third phases, with an ultimate production capacity of more than 400,000 tonnes. The Mutun steel complex project is the most complete full-process integrated steel plant construction project undertaken by a Chinese company overseas up to now, and is located in the Port of Suarez on the border between Bolivia and Brazil.
