2008 Photo Competition Exhibition

Deputy General Manager Xin Haiyan was named 2007 National Excellent Equipment Supervision Engineer

According to the resolution of the Council of China Equipment Supervision Association and the relevant provisions of the Notice on Carrying out the Selection of National Outstanding Equipment Supervision Engineers in 2007, Comrade Xin Haiyan, deputy general manager of our company, was recommend to China Equipment Supervision Association on May 27, 2008 after preliminary examination by Sinosteel Equipment Co., Ltd., relying on his solid theoretical foundation and practical experience and work achievements accumulated in metallurgical engineering equipment supervision for many years, the National Excellent Equipment Supervision Engineer Review Committee has been appraised as the National Excellent Equipment Supervision Engineer and has been publicized on the website of China Equipment Supervision Association.

On May 12, 2008, a strong earthquake of magnitude 8.0 occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. Affected by the earthquake, Deyang City, where China Second Heavy Machinery Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Erzhong) is located, water, power, and gas were cut off, communications and external traffic were interrupted, shops, banks, and post offices were closed, and Erzhong was completely suspended. At the time of the earthquake, two comrades, Yun Yunxing and Yang Fengjun, were carrying out the equipment supervision tasks of the 4100mm wide plate project of Chongqing Iron and Steel Environmental Protection Relocation Project and the Turkish TOSYALI950mm Hot Strip Rolling Project. In the face of the sudden disaster and the difficulties and dangers caused by the earthquake, the two comrades did not fear or flinch. They focused on their work and stuck to their posts.
